In 2002 Bridgwater International had more Czech workers helping us out. Petra Kuskova (from Prague) Feb to June, Inka Kleinova (from Pardubice) July to October and then, as a major break with tradition, we hosted Richard Gaskell (the outrider from the 1992 trip) and employed him as Czech assistant
For 2001 we had Ivana Blahova as our new assistant. Brian was hardly at home as Bridgwater International now sought further countries other than Czech or Slovakia. This year we visited Lithuania and Poland for instance.
Bridgwater International entered the 21st Century moving forwards at the forefront of Czech-Slovak international links. Students funded by EU grants and staff and workers paid for their contribution. The first Czech assistant of the new millenium was in fact Slovak. Livie Benckova was a friend of Lenkas…and a Brussel sprout fanatic. In fact, that’s all she ate….
