2011 was another year of consolidating and moving forward. In Bridgwater Jjana Branecka was now living and working for us and making websites, designing posters, translating and doing all the accounts. Lots of groups were doing annual trips and we were developing especially our Italy twinning.
ZDENALONDYN Kladno/London (GB) -a Group of 28 teachers from Kladno organised by Zdena Biggsova through their teaching union came with us to London for 3 nights plus a day and night in cambridge where Bridgwater student Simon Hann took them on a tour. Brian and Nigel as drivers
SANDINO 11 Football Tournament /Bristol;- we entered a team and lost.
LJUBA11 Slovenian students to UK (19-20 June in Somerset);- a group of 28 Slovenian students from 2 centres – Koper & Jesenice. Brian & Nigel drivers.They toured Wales for 3 nights (Betwes y coed x 2, llwyn y celyn and spent the last in Somerset- cheddar BCSFS paid for a Somerset Themed event with music and food for them at the art centre on the 19th. EVA 11 Ceske Budejovice students to UK (21/22/23/24 in Somerset). a group of 28 students from Ceske Budejovice led by Eva Kordova at Huntstile farm 3 nights then to cornwall – bellever / golant/bath/ridgeway. . BCSFS paid for a Somerset themed night for them on the 22nd. Kath Pearce organised

UH WINE FESTIVAL (8-11 Sept). The Mayor of Bridgwater within a group of 4 had been invited to UH by the Czech Mayor. Cllr Parker had accepted + mayoress jennie. Brian Smedley and cllr Mike Lerry also went
DAGMAR 11 UH Family centre group (11-24 sept) The UH Akropolis centre had been awarded a second grant to visit the Sedgemoor area, this time as partner organisation to the Hamp Community Association..11 people then after 4 days dagmar leaves and 10 people thereafter. Includes 2 nights in cornwall and 2 nights in Bath.
ARABSKA 11 school to UK (23-29 sept). Dr Souceks old school would be visiting Bridgwater but this time Without Dr Soucek. Run by Pavla pracnerova. Cheddar x 2/ bellever/tintagel/ landsend/. Brian and nigel to drive
VOICE OF THE PEOPLE TO PRIVERNO (1-4 oct) Yvette Staellens art centre based choir would be testing out the water for us with a trip to Priverno in Italy with a group some 45 strong.
LA CIOTAT FOOTBALL trip (7-10 oct). Bridgwater International football team and Altech from UH would visit La Ciotat .
JAZZGANG 12-18 oct;- A group of Jazz musicians from UH fronted by Lucie Hubena have offered to come to Bridgwater to do a series of concerts. The meeting agreed that up to £500 of funds could be allocated to this project. Members and supporters were asked to consider home hosting and to help with finding gigs.
CZECH ROCK TOUR (18-26 oct). Brett Pracownik took a group of Bridgwater rock bands on a tour of the czech republic including Prague, Brno & UH.
