2025 and we’re back to normal peak travel visitng 3 of our twin towns with choirs, tourists, students, rock bands and Mayors. Plus several other places. Here’s how it went….

Feb 3-16 CARLA’S ITALIANS VISIT BRIDGWATER
Maria Carla and the Teodosio Rossie school from our Italian twin town of Priverno visited us to start the year and her students did work experience in Bridgwater for 2 weeks. As their mid stay break this year they went up to the Peake district and then over to Liverpool and at the end of it spent 3 days in London.
March 28-April 2 TWINNING VISIT TO PRIVERNO & SABAUDIA
First year it was Croatia, second year Copenhagen and this year Sabaudia (and Priverno) Brits and Czechs went on a seaside jaunt to the Oasi di kufra luxury beach hotel in Sabaudia and visited Priverno, Rome and Monte Cassino while we were there.
April 16 -20 PLANNING VISIT TO CROATIA
Always good to do a flying visit to a regular destination. This year it was Croatia. Flying into Dubrovnik and out via Split we stayed at Tucepi on the Croatian riviera
June 27 -July 4th SUTTON FAMILY MONTENEGRO
It’s a long time since we took the Sutton family abroad. Last time was when they got married in Prague. This time they wanted to try the mountainous Adriatic country of Montenegro flying in and out of Dubrovnik and staying at the seaside town of Budva.

14-17 August POLYRHYTHMO FROM BENIN DO A FEW FESTIVALS
West African rock n rhythm orchestre Polyrythmo from Benin tour with us around the south west doing festivals and gigs in london, Wimborne and Falmouth
2-9 October CLAIRE ANSTEES CHOIR VISIT LA CIOTAT
Fronted by Bridgwater Mayor Kath Pearce a 30 strong signing troupe from across Somerset and Devon spend a week in Bridgwater’s twin town of La Ciotat in the south of France, rekindle the link, sing with a French choir and take part in the harbourside festival
19-26 October CLAIRE STRONACHS CHOIR VISIT UHERSKE HRADISTE
Claire Stronach’s first trip in charge of the Voice of the People choir visited Uherske Hradiste in Moravia and sing with the Svatopluk choir in a Frqnciscan monastery, visit the Altech factory of Antonin machala, who also takes them up in his helicopter, get a reception with the U.H Mayor (Bridgwater Mayor Kath Pearce went with them) and visit the spa town of Luhacovice. Also they have a wine and Moravian music evening sponsored by Altech and then many of the group stay on in Prague for a few days.
